Here is a [growing] collection of devotions. I have used each of these with my own outpost.
I hold the devotion period as a special time in our outpost. We pull all the boys and girls together - right through from Buckaroos to Trailblazers. They all sit on the floor, roughly in patrols, and I stand in front
of them and deliver the devotion.
How to give a devotion
A devotion has four distinct qualities - it is short, sharp, simple, singular
In my outpost, devotions are designed to mostly be Inspirational and Motivational. I want the children to be inspired to be more like Jesus and motivated to do something about it.
I use objects so that there is an anchor in their memory to tie my message with something that is physically real and easily remembered. Object lessons are very powerful and have been used by childrens speakers the
world over for many, many years.
I hope you enjoy using these devotions and use them. Please let me know if they work for you.
