Some folk are in Rangers 'cause there's no-one else Some are in Rangers because they feel called Others are in Rangers cause they like hangin' out in coon skin hats Still others are there because they like to help kids.

I'm not. I'm in Rangers to change the world.

Requirements to change the world
1) reason
2) passion
3) commitment
4) pig headedness

1) reason
You need a reason (or cause) to change the world. It's not enough to just wanna. I want to change the world for Jesus. To see people's lives turned around. To see disasters averted in the lives of children. To populate heaven and plunder hell.

2) passion
You need passion to change the world. You need to believe in your cause so strongly that everything else is a compromise of your time and energy. Passion is the antidote for burnout. Passionate people don't burnout. Passion fuels effort. Passion ignites work. Jesus was passionate about his ministry here. Passion helps you focus on what's important in life.

3) commitment is the signature on the line of the passion contract. "Yes - I'll do it" is what commitment says. Commitment means doing the camp when only four of 12 boys show up. Commitment runs programs in winter. Commitment schedules annual leave around important ranger events. Commitment allows character to equal passion.

4) pig headedness
Sometimes it's necessary to be stubborn about things. Stubbornness keeps you praying from breakthrough. Pig headedness "crashes through" obstacles. This pig headedness is like "overdrive" on your 4WD. Straight through
