How to change the world

1) get your cause
2) recruit your helpers
3) be passionate and committed
4) don't be distracted

1) get your cause
This is pretty easy - well it is for me, maybe not so easy for you. What motivates you?
What inspires you?
Which parts of the movies do you get weepy at? What outrages you in the news?
What brings you to action?
Answer these questions and other like them and you will identify your passion.

Why not do an "Active Service" course at church? But find out what stirs you up - and them make it your cause.

2) recruit some helpers
Start - and look to bring other with you to help your cause. It's easy to do. Really. People are attracted to passionate people. People are attracted to causes. You just need to connect with the ones who are just as passionate about the same things that you are. These become zealots to your cause. Find them. Use them. Keep them. Stir them. Motivate them. Reward them. Share the "glory". Change the world!

3) be passionate and committed
Don't really need to harp here. But these are vital. Reread this essay.

4) don't be distracted
Be on your guard are other people bent on the world who are looking to "sign" you and your helpers up - to their cause. The hide of them! The worst ones are "singers", "youth" and "men's breakfast teams" Run when you see them - or better still - convert them to your cause. Keep focused on your cause. Evaluate every decision you make with the question "How will this further my cause". If it won't or it hinders the cause - skip it.

Live it
Breathe it
Be it

The cause.
